Do you have an iPhone or an Android? Are you interested in an easy way to earn money for our school where you do not have to buy, sell, or donate anything? Then you need to download Shoparoo!! Shoparoo is an app that allows you to take pictures of your receipts in order to earn points. Those points equate to dollars and at the end of the year Shoparoo will send our school a check. It’s easy. All you have to do is Shop, Snap, Earn. All receipts count. This year PTG is going to encourage as many people as possible to download this app and start logging points. If you are not comfortable using the app, you can always send your receipts into the office in an envelope labeled for PTG. We will simply log them into one of our accounts. Please check out Shoparoo.com for more information and sign up today!
What is PTG?
PTG is a group of parents and teachers that raise money for the school, plan fun events, and help support the school in whatever ways we can.
Who can join PTG?
ANYONE WHO HAS CHILDREN IN ST. MARY or IS A TEACHER THERE. Whether this is your last child in St. Mary or your first, we need your help. In order to make the events successful we need a crew of volunteers to help organize and plan. Without your help, we will not be able to do all of the fun things we have planned.
What events are PTG involved?
PTG helps put together the Back to School picnic, the Scholastic Book Fairs, Breakfast with Santa, Santa’s workshop, Family Fun Nights, Teacher Appreciation lunches, and the Middle School Dances just to name a few. Plus new events like A Night with the Oldies and a Fitness Fundraiser.
What do the funds go toward?
All PTG monies help benefit the kids!! PTG is purchasing 40 new laptops for the 8th grade this year. But we also fund buses for field trips, provide funds for kindergarten graduation, 8th grade graduation, and Holy Communion parties. We also provide funds to register for the Forensics tournaments, science fairs, and the end of the year field day.
When will PTG meet?
PTG meets every month at 6:30 pm in Providence Hall. Watch for dates and times!
